Dr Stuart Moir, MBBS, FRACP - Cardiologist

Stuart trained at Monash University in Melbourne and completed his residency, cardiology training and an advanced echocardiography fellowship at Monash Medical Centre in Victoria.

He then spent 3 years in Queensland at the Cardiovascular Imaging Group, Princess Alexandra Hospital , researching a PhD supervised by Professor Tom Marwick.

Stuarts PhD examined the use of contrast echocardiography in diagnosis and management of cardiac disease, and also involved utilization of other cutting edge echocardiographic techniques, including 3-D echocardiography and strain rate imaging. During his PhD, Stuart further enhanced his clinical echo skills by concurrently working at Hearts1st non invasive diagnostic imaging laboratory at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Stuart then spent a year as the contrast echocardiography fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota USA, before returning to Victoria where he has taken up a position at Monash Medical Centre. He also works part time reporting echo studies at CVS.

Stuart is happily married with two small children.  He is a mad Richmond supporter eagerly awaiting an end to his years of misery.
