Dr Michael Nguyen, MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ - Interventional Cardiologist

Dr Michael Nguyen completed his cardiology training in Melbourne and then undertook fellowship training in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He currently has a public appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Dr Michael Nguyen specialises in all aspects of interventional cardiology and percutaneous peripheral interventions:

• Complex coronary interventions.
• Closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale.
• Percutaneous peripheral interventions including renal and carotid stenting.

Dr Nguyen is currently completing a Masters of philosphy in the area of antithrombotic treatment following coronary stenting and has a strong commitment to teaching medical students and junior doctors with previous appointments as a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School.
